- Download the latest version of Firefox for Mac. A multi-platform web browser with open source code. Mozilla continues to work on further improvements for its.
- I experienced the same with my Early 2013 MacBook Pro. It got so bad I deleted firefox and reverted back to Safari. The fans died down immediately. Also FireFox Quantum will not sync passwords with mobile browser. They show up in mobile preferences but do not Auto-Fill and cannot be selected. I'm shocked because it used to be the opposite.
- My macbook pro has a solid state HD, is (I think close to, 8 years old – don’t remember when Apple switched) and operates absolutely fine, just overheats, particularly when software like video or news pages on chrome are running. Can never follow click – bait ads, as those pages are so busy, the fan is very high on within 30 seconds.
- Download Mozilla Firefox for Mac to explore the impeccable Web of tomorrow with highly customizable, blazing fast, and safely secured browsing. Mozilla Firefox has had 9 updates within the past 6.
Hello
To download and install Firefox: Visit the Firefox download page in any browser (for example, Safari). It will automatically detect the platform and language on your computer and recommend the best version of Firefox for you.
Install Firefox On Macbook Pro
Try searching for Firefox first - it may just have got accidentally moved. At the top right of the screen is the Spotlight magnifying glass. Click that to get a search box, and type in Firefox. The top hit should be the application.
If you can open it that way, once it's running, right-click or command-click on the icon in the dock and select Options - Keep in Dock. That'll fix it there for next time.
If you can't locate it with Spotlight, you may need to re-download from http://firefox.com. It'll download the installer to your Downloads folder, and you should open the install image and drag the application to the Applications folder (there should be a shortcut in the installer window). Then launch from Applications and do the 'Keep in Dock' trick as above.
Does Firefox Work On Macbook Pro

I have a MacBook Pro - OS X, 10.8.2, and want the default browser to be Firefox, not Safari.
The consistent advice is: Safari/Preferences/General and showing Firefox as the default browser. I have done this, and when I start up I keep getting Safari, not Firefox. I can then click on Firefox from the Launchpad and it comes up and works fine; I would just like to avoid the extra steps I take to quit Safari and start Firefox. The Apple representative with whom I spoke took me through the above steps and was baffled that it didn't work. She suggested that I contact Firefox, so that's what I am doing. Please help. There must be some setting I have inadvertently done to myself.
